What is your overall strategy as a company?
We created St. Johns to provide Florida agents and
their customers with a stable market for homeowners
insurance. As a totally voluntary insurer, we did
not enter the marketplace to capitalize on short-term
opportunities. Our goal is to be a reliable, long-term
player. To do this, we have structured our entire
organization to ensure that we consistently deliver
a quality, fairly-priced product and a superior level
of personal service.
What about the people behind St. Johns?
While as a company St. Johns is relatively new, our
people are not new to the business of homeowners insurance.
Our management team is comprised of seasoned insurance
people with an average of 20 years' experience. We
know Florida and we understand what it takes to write
business efficiently and profitably.
What products do you offer?
We currently offer a standard and preferred homeowners
program (HO-3) as well as a condominium owners product
(HO-6).
Where do you write business?
We write business throughout the state of Florida.
Who are your target customers?
We target a wide range of homeowners with homes valued
anywhere from $80,000 to $750,000.
What is your minimum premium volume commitment?
We have no minimum volume commitment. We're confident
that once you work us you'll see the difference we
can make in your business.
Are you appointing new agents?
Yes. We are always looking for agents who share our
commitment to quality, integrity and superior service
