Representative
General Job Responsibilities
Your specific assignment is to profitably
market and service all products provided by the
company and any new products introduced in your
assigned geographical marketing territory. Profitably
and substantially grow production and retention with
existing agency force. Understand all distribution
channels and develop sales and production plans that
maximize production for all. Solicit and appoint new
agents in territories agreed upon with management.
Also, you are expected to do the following:
- Provide
quality training and information to your agents
(i.e. underwriting guidelines, system training,
key contacts etc.)
- Communicate
and report progress in formal report frequently
with the St. Johns Management Team
- Provide
“customer service” to your all agencies and
work with the underwriting department for
retention of existing business
- Travel
as necessary to meet all agency, training and
production commitments

Job Skills / Requirements
- Bachelors
Degree and Insurance Licenses preferred
- Ability
to utilize computer, internet and to train agency
force Excellent communications skills, written,
verbal and listening
- Excellent
interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated
- Proactive
in problem solving
- Achieve
mutually agreed upon sales goals
- Ability
to assess client needs and conduct effective sales
interviews
- Solicit
in person and sell over the phone
- Travel
required 100% of the time, potentially throughout
the state but predominately in your assigned
territory
